DELEGATE NOMINATION MEETING NOTICE
Local 2349 will hold a special membership meeting on June 5th at 6:00 pm at the Empowering life building located at 144 Military Street Houlton Maine 04730. The meeting will also be conducted via Zoom if you cannot make it in person (Link to follow in an upcoming email). Local 2349’s President has already been designated as a delegate. If members authorize additional delegates, then nominations, for the additional delegates will be accepted and, at a future date to be determined an election will be held for a secret vote to elect the additional delegates. If members authorized additional delegates and a member wishes to forward a nomination, but is unable to attend a meeting, then such an nomination should be submitted by email to local 2349 president JR Albert at nbpc.local2349@gmail.com prior to the start of the June 5th meeting.
Local members will also be asked to determine if the selected delegates will carry all of local 2349 votes, which have approved would preclude the need for alternate delegates. Members do not approve this proposal, the nominations for alternate delegate will be accepted and, at a future date to be determined, and election will be held for a secret vote to elect additional delegates.
The designated delegates will represent local 2349 at the AFG national convention to be held on or about August 12 – August 16 in Las Vegas, NV.
